[BAKER (Josephine). Bal de la sûreté générale. Paris : Maison de la Mutualité, 1933. - Brochure in-4, stapled. Original program published for the ball of the General Security given at the Maison de la Mutualité on Friday, February 17, 1933, in which Josephine Baker participated. It is illustrated with a portrait of the latter by Jean Dunand, reproduced in colour on coated paper (here unstuck). This copy is enriched with two photographs of Josephine Baker, one dedicated to Mr. Paolini in 1931 and the other to Jacques Crépineau in 1960, 3 original caricatures of the artist, two of them signed by Trier, on wove paper with the letterhead printed "Bei Josephine Baker", a portrait of her printed by Pietri, with red and gold paint, a brochure with two colour compositions by Paul Colin representing Josephine Baker, dated 1925 and 1926, and the programme for Josephine's Farewell to Paris with Wiener & Doucet at the Salle Pleyel on Saturday 28 January 1928, illustrated by Jean Dunand and dedicated by Wiener on the cover. There are also 2 letters from Gaston Zanel, couturier for the theatre, one signed and addressed to Joséphine Baker, dated October 28, 1931, one and a half page in-4, about a Tonkinoise dress, and the other signed and autographed, dated November 23, 1934, addressed to Pepito Abatino, Joséphine Baker's companion and impresario, one and a half page in-4, in which he recommends one of his friends. A copy of the program of the evening Un grand soir de Paris. Le Bal des Bijoux, organized by the commissariat des fêtes de Paris under the presidency of Van Dongen, and held at the Théâtre Marigny on Friday, June 24, 1938. The cover is illustrated with a colour composition by Kees Van Dongen.
