Georges-Gabriel Thenon dit RIP (1884-1941). 8 L.A.S., February-March 1930, to Jane Raphane; 34 pages in-8; and 2 portraits drawn. Interesting correspondence on the development of his revue Le progrès s'amuse, created on October 20, 1932 at the Théâtre des Capucines. The actress Jane Raphane seems to have played an important role in the preparation of the revue, in which she played alongside Marcel Dalio, Thérèse Dorny, Pierre Moreno, etc. The letters talk about the progress of the writing of the revue, the various tableaux and ideas for sketches, the projects for sets and posters with Paul Colin and André Boll, etc. Portrait-caricatures of Rip by BOUET (Indian ink, 20 x 13 cm, signed, small crack), and Georges LEPAPE (signed and dated 1920, graphite, 11 x 7 cm). Two brochures are attached: De bric & de broc with Max Aghion, and L'Habit d'un laquais; and an extract from Cocktails de Paris.
