MOSCOW AND SIBERIA, 1904 Voyage from Cologne to Irkutsk in 61 postcards Lovely archive of a voyage on the Trans Siberian from December 1903 to January 1904, starting in Cologne, via Hanover, Berlin, Warsaw, Minsk, Smolensk, Moscow, Samara, Tomsk, Chelyabinsk, and Irkutsk. Numerous traditional Siberian views (mammoth bone wrapping, the head of the Buryats and his wife, etc.). All cards contain postage and were mailed to the recipient's sister in Liege. Provenance: Emile Evert, Belgian engineer in China 1903-1907. Member of the Peking-Hankow Railroad Administration.
