The first complete edition of Jacques Amyot's translation Jacques Amyot of books XI to XVII of Diodorus's Histories by Diodorus to that of the first three books translated by Macault, with annotations by Louis Le Roy. A Greek historian and contemporary of Caesar, Diodorus Siculus, after long stays in Europe and Asia, settled in Rome, where he worked for over thirty years on a Historical Library, consisting of forty books and extending from the earliest times to 60 BC. All that remains today are books I to V and XI to XXII and fragments of the others. The first three cover the history of Egypt, Assyria and neighboring countries. Books IV and V cover the heroic period of Greece and research on the islands. Finally, books XI to XVII deal with the history of Greece. This Historical Library covers a period of over a thousand years, and is based on all the datable events that Diodorus Sicilus could find in ancient sources. The edition is adorned with beautiful initials with acanthus leaves, figures and faces. A fine copy in red morocco with 17th-century lining. Stains and a small epidermis to binding. Old handwritten annotations in the margins of a few leaves, browning to a few leaves at the end of the volume.

CT 16/04/2024 valid French registration document Service book, service invoices, documentation The Triumph Herald is a British Triumph car built between 1959 and 1971. Designed by Giovanni Michelotti, it was available as a sedan, coupé, convertible, station wagon and van. In October 1967, for the London Motor Show, the Herald was given a facelift. Born in 1959, it reached its fourth version, following on from the Herald, Herald 1200 and Herald 12/50. The 13/60 gets a 1300 engine with 62 hp to enhance the "sportiness" of the British model. This engine, shared with the Spitfire Mk III, is tuned differently, with lower cams and a single carburetor instead of two. In fact, it originates from the Triumph 1300, and proves to be robust and very smooth, if not nervous. Well suspended, the car is fun to drive. The engine makes a raucous noise at low revs, evoking a raging character.
