Description

Tourmaline paraiba oval brilliant modified of 74,28 ct. of a blue pulling slightly on the green. Very brilliant stone with a remarkable purity. No known geographical origin, nor indication of modification. In the case of this stone, it is not for lack of looking. The stone is so pure that there are practically no clues. The blue colour, slightly tinged with green, gives this stone an incredible softness and reveals a very sparkling brilliance thanks to an extraordinary cut. As it moves, the light plays with the facets to reveal a shape reminiscent of a water lily. The jeweller Bulgari has understood the interest of this stone and has recently created one of the most beautiful pieces of contemporary jewellery, the "Mediterranean Queen" necklace. A true work of art, this jewel promotes the large paraiba tourmaline to the rank of exceptional stones. The paraiba tourmaline presented in this sale deserves its two certificates: the GIA certificate of June 28, 2019 and the French Gemological Laboratory analysis report of July 2, 2021. GIA tourmaline report : 7336149243 / LFG Gemstone report : 382879. Oval greenish blue paraiba tourmaline of 74.28 ct., extremely transparent and clean. Dimensions : 27.71 x 22.39 x 17.93 mm. In order to find this color in nature, you just have to go to the blue-lagoon waters of French Polynesia. Nature declines this blue in an infinite way. And it is the same in the mines of Brazil, in the state of Paraiba, where this type of tourmaline was discovered in 1989, or, more recently, in Africa, like in Nigeria or Mozambique. This stone is therefore very recent on the market and, in just a few years, it has managed to conquer and be recognized by the greatest houses of the Haute Joaillerie.
