A PAIR OF PLATES FROM A “FABELTIER" SERVICE Meissen, 2nd quarter of the 18th century. Painted in the style of Friedrich Adam von Löwenfinck (1727-1736 active in Meissen). Painted in purple camaïeu and heightened in gold with a fabulous beast supported by a strip of land, with scattered insects and a stylised foliate border at the edge. Without mark, without moulder's mark. 24 cm. 1 plate restored at the edge and with hairline crack.
