Nissen ZBI 3406 - Schwerdt III, 141 - Thienemann 391-498. - First edition. - The sixth part at the end without plates 19-22, a 7th part with 14 further engravings (mules and asses) published only in 1754 - The most extensive set of Ridinger's with the fine representations of dogs, lions, tigers, bears, stags, wild boars, wolves, foxes, chamois, hares, otters etc. as well as in the 6th part of horses. The animals are portrayed in each case in scenic surroundings and with typical behaviour. - Somewhat browned, at the beginning narrow dampstain in the upper margin, in the margins throughout lightly foxed resp. fingerstained (few fol. stronger). One plate with marginal tear into the image, isolated old backing at the platemark. - The engravings altogether in good and fine impressions.
