The panels under examination were probably part of a triptych with the Crucifixion in the centre. The style characteristics suggest a dating to the XIV-XV century and an author of a school probably from the Marche region. The similarities in style with the works of Allegretto Nuzi (Fabriano, 1315 circa - 1373) suggest, in fact, an execution by one of his pupils or followers such as the Master of San Verecondo, active during the first half of the 15th century in Fabriano and Gualdo Tadino.
