Open frame stamped "COLTS PATENT" Barrel engraved with cavalry fighting Indians, two cartridges marked "MODEL U.S.M.R" "COLT'S PATENT" and W.I.Orms by Sc N.Y. Brass trigger guard and stock flange. Numbered on the frame; trigger guard and stock flange 107** (Year 1851). Length: 37 cm. The 3rd model was produced from 1851 to 1861 at 10 500 pieces . The two-leaf frog is a civilian addition.
