Rare British Royal Navy chronometer Circa 1939 Silver case with Birmingham hallmarks Made by Aaron Lufkin Dennison Engraved HS 2 Mechanical hand-wound movement Omega calibre 19" 23 jewels DDR quality Diameter: 50mm Original wooden case engraved with the watch number and revision label dated 1943 We also have a copy of the Royal Observatory of Greenwitch about this watch and its history as an endowment. Extremely rare and potentially unique "Royal Navy" chronometer. This watch has many amazing features, it is basically an omega 19" movement an Omega 19" DDR quality movement, the highest grade of quality at the time quality at the time dating from 1911. The movement was sent in 1939 to the Dennisson Dennisson to adapt a silver case to the movement in order to be able to to put it in endowment. The requirements of the army being important, they had the best movements for their military watches. The engraving H.S 2 corresponds to a pocket watch of endowment. Very rare on the market, it is a
