André Citroën interested himself in the mechanization of the agricultural world after the First World War. A project for a small wine tractor was presented at the «Grande semaine de motoculture» in Chartres in 1919. The machine, named B 2 or 12 HP weighed 800 kg and was equipped with the 4-cylinder engine of the Type A car. It would be built in a hundred copies between 1919 and 1920. André Citroën was too busy setting up his automobile network and quickly lost interest in this tractor, entrusting the Agricultural Company with the task of selling the small production. The example we present is in its original state and still running, still equipped with its original engine. The very narrow width of this tractor allowed the driver to work in the vineyards. All the specific parts are present and the patina of the whole is unequivocal as for the authenticity of this tractor.
