Description

PARIS 1744 - 1750 Silver sauceboat with two spouts and two side handles of oblong form. It rests on a poly-lobed pedestal with contours in recall on the edge. The spouts, extended by a drop, are enhanced by three gadroons and channels simulating a shell. The two handles are scrolled and netted. Engraved with a coat of arms on one side. Coat of arms supposedly belonging to a lady of the Du Sart family (originally from Champagne).
