Horst Georg Skorupa1941 Breslau - 2004 Schaddel near Leipzig Dirk Fischer 1959 Leipzig Ceramic, light-coloured body, the inner wall glazed in dark brown, the outer wall set in dark brown and green engobe. High, cylindrical body with geometrical, in rectangles arranged and stamped surface decoration. Monogrammed "D.F. / H.S." and dated in black fibre pen on the underside. Three small chips on the upper rim. Dimensions: h. 46 cm, d. 33,5 cm. Horst Georg Skorupa 1941 Breslau - 2004 Schaddel bei Leipzig German ceramist. 1961-63 Study of painting at the art academy in Berlin-Weißensee. From 1973 member of the VBK. 1974 co-founder of the artists' college "Schaddelmühle", until 1978 chairman of the college. 1975 Participation in the 1st International Artists' Symposium of the GDR. 1976 Prize in the exhibition "Young Artists of the GDR". 1981/82 Working stay in the studio of the State Porcelain Manufactory Meissen. From 1991 runs a joint studio with Martin Gruner in Schaddel. 1992 End of his work due to health problems. Some of Skorupa's works are in the Museum of Applied Art in Gera.
