Victor Hugo solicits Monsieur Louis's enlightenment: "Your eye so sure and so efficient; it is about a young patient who interests him to the highest degree. This young person lives in Auteuil. Would you be good enough to accompany Mr. Pradier there? Mr. Pradier knows how admirably you have treated my little Toto; he knows how much your great science and your great talent mean to me for the cure of this dear child.
He asks for your lights. I join him." ...
