Autograph correspondence signed. Twenty-two autograph letters signed: - Eight letters addressed to Gaston CALMETTE. Six are written between 1887 and 1896, two are not dated. Letters between half a page and two pages, large or small in-16. One envelope enclosed: "Monsieur / Gaston Calmette / au Figaro / 26. Rue de Drouot / Paris". - Four letters addressed to Philippe GILLE, one dated December 1885, and two written in Champrosay, Seine et Oise. Letters of one page in-16. - One letter addressed to Michel SEXTIUS, undated. One page in-16. - One letter addressed to Mr. BRISSON, undated. One page in-16. - A letter addressed to Mr. de RODAYS, undated, Champrosay, Seine et Oise. One and a half page in-16. - Seven letters to unknown addressees, undated except one, March 20, 1882, Paris. Letters between half a page and a page in-16. The letters to Gaston Calmette, Philippe Gille, Fernande de Rodays, all three employed at the Figaro, and to the journalist Adolphe Brisson, mainly concern requests for the publication of advertisements or articles on various subjects (the revival of the Arlésienne, the Goncourt sale of drawings from the XVIIIth century, a work by Mistral or Léon Allard, a short story by Daudet "Le trésor d'Arlatan" ....), thanks for articles, invitations...
