Important 18-karat (750 ‰) white gold diamond river. The necklace composed of two lines of baguette diamonds linked by slightly falling brilliant-cut diamonds, holding thirty-six clover motifs set with three brilliant-cut diamonds. In the centre a symmetrical knotted ribbon motif set with baguette diamonds, curved by a ring enhanced with baguette-cut diamonds holding a line of seven round diamonds, the largest of which is approximately 0.55 carat, and four lines of baguette-cut diamonds terminating in a round diamond. Goldsmith's hallmark. Work of the 1950s. In its brown case signed Henri Martin Paris-Vichy-Nice. Necklace: 40 cm Height of the motif: 6 cm Gross weight: 109.6 g Provenance private collection of Vichy. Vichy was until the 1950s one of the first and most prestigious thermal destination of the world. During the season it was given a gala every evening. The local bourgeoisie had to wear jewellery accordingly.
