Complete with 36 colour lithographs with views of Bruges, Brussels, Antwerp, Mechelen, Courtrai etc. Bound in blue morocco, spine and covers with romantic gilt and mosaic decoration, the boards decorated with a large frame of gilt fillets, dotted lines and chains, mosaic motifs on a gold background in the corners, in the centre a rectangular plate mosaic on a gold background, spine with 5 compartments, two of which are for the title and three with a mosaic fleuron and a gilt frame, gilt inner tooth, marbled paper lining and end-papers, gilt head, doubled case (Ch. de Samblanx) This work was awarded the First Class medal at the Universal Exhibitions of Paris and London. A very fresh copy in a remarkable imitation binding by De Samblanx Brussels C. Muquardt 1878
