Karel van Mander - Manasseh - Repentant sinners / Description: Manasseh glued to neck, hands and feet near a bridge. Before him lies a crown - a reference to his kingship. In the background, a scene from the life of Manasseh: two men on a bridge cuffed away by a troop of horsemen. Below two-line show a Latin text. This print is part of a series of eight repentant sinners; every picture in this series is a likeness of a sinner and above him some (playing music) angels in clouds with in the background a scene from the life of the particular sinner, / Dimensions: 20,60 x 14,60 cm Good, delicate printed impressions, all on their full little sheet of watermarked paper with full plate border and good margins. Margins with remains of album tipping at corners.
