Interior of a peasant house with a satyr standing up from a chair at left, and pointing his finger upwards, a peasant family seated around a table and looking at the satyr, one of them eating from a bowl, a dog in central foreground, a chicken on a basket in background; second state before address of Blooteling; after Jacob Jordaens. c.1621. Monogrammed in top right: "LV". Lettered within image, in lower part: "I. Iordaens pinxit" and "Cum Priuilegijs. Reg:" and "LVorsterman scul:". Lettered in lower margin, two columns with three lines of Latin verses each: "Iste frigus ... / ... Deus deseret.". / Dimensions: 44,30 x 39,70 cm Good impressions on laid paper with full plate border and one cm. margins. Invisibly flattened vertical middle fold. Remains of album tipping at the top corners at backside.
