Three people are seen from behind, but the fourth looks in the face: it is a self-portrait of the engraver (Johannes Wierix), It approaches another self-portrait he inserted in MH 1493 (Sudden death). The holy shroud is shown in a constellation with the instruments of the passion. Only state. Signed beneath text line. A very special and rare print! Not in the British Museum.
