Two-handed sword, spadone Belluno/Venice, Italy, early 16th century. Iron cross hilt with a coiled knob and an en suite decorated quillons with a third ring. Leather grip. Double-edged - probably Bellunese - blade of hexagonal cross-section with ricasso and quillons. The Venetian arsenal mark "winged St. Mark's lion" on the third side at the base of the blade. Coherent Renaissance fighting weapon in good condition. L approx. 167 cm.
