GERHARD ADOLF JANENSCH 1860 Zamborst/ Pomerania - 1933 Berlin Hunting goddess Diana with deer Bronze, light, partly dark patinated, black marble. Total h. 81,5 cm, h. 73 cm (figure). Inscribed 'Prof. G. Janensch' on the plinth. Above an octagonal base a round plinth with a full-figure depiction of Diana, goddess of the hunt, with her upper body bared. She holds a small deer on her right arm, in her left she holds a bow. Part. with losses of the patina, base slightly dam.
