TAKING OF THE CITY OF SUZE - LETTER OF THE KING LOUIS XIV, to Mgr the Archbishop and Primate of NARBONNE, to make sing the TE DEUM in his Primatial Church & others of his Diocese, in thanksgiving of the Taking of the City of SUZE. - The Place of SUZE which I had besieged by my Cousin the Duke De LA FEUILLADE Lieutenant General of my Armies, has just been submitted to my obedience... I desire that it be given thanks to God for this Conquest, by imploring again his Divine goodness, for the protection of my Arms in the continuation of this Campaign... Written from VERSAILLES on the 20th of June 1704"; & Mandement of M. le Vicaire Général, et l'Official Métropolitain de Mgr l'archevêque & primat de NARBONNE, donné à NARBONNE dans le Palais Archiépiscopal le 6 Juillet 1704.
