Bouddha assis
Magnificent crowned Jambupati Buddha seated on a double lotiform pedestal in Bhumisparsha Mudra - witnessed from the ground, the head is very nicely adorned with a finely carved box, the lobes particularly elongated ending in golden earrings. He is dressed in the Utarasanga monastic robe, also finely carved. Burma, Shan, 19th c. Lacquered and gilded alabaster 50x36x100cm
