Hiroshige Utagawa (1797-1858) after. 42nd station: Miya. Print from the series of 53 Tokaido stations, called "Kyoka Tokaido". Publisher : Sanoki Edition & Bijyutsushya , supervised by Tokyo National Museum. Size of the print : 23.5 x 32.5cm + the frame , period : 1960's - Translation of the poem : We see the ships coming back to the port through the rolling of the waves. We see the pine trees of Attuta Shirin, the sanctuary of the god of the sea. The pines also watch over the sea and its waves. Signed: Matsunoya Mitsutoshi.
