Amsterdam, Changuion, 1735. 2 vols. in-12, marbled calf, spines decorated with title and giblets, marbled edges (contemporary binding). Worm damage with leather loss at the lower head of volume II, otherwise a fine copy. This translation of Steele's Tatler was also published under the following title: "Le Babillard ou Le Philosophe nouvelliste". The "Tatler", published by Steele under the name of Isaac Bicker-Staff, appeared in London from April 12, 1709 to January 2, 1711; it forms 271 folio issues.
