In-12 of 258 pp. Half marbled calf, spine ribbed and threaded, title page (contemporary binding). Edition published the same year as the original. This play had an immediate repercussion from its first performance and granted Diderot a fame exceeding that of his collaboration to the Encyclopédie. Some rubbing on the boards. Good copy.
