In-8, leather-like cardboard, spine ribbed. Missing the upper box. First edition. Frontispiece by Le Pautre, 174 pp. followed by an explanatory dictionary of blazon terms and figures, followed by 120 pages with 4 blazons each. Copy without the printed band bearing the author's name. Unique and uncommon edition by Cadot, then a counsellor at the Cour des Monnaies. Cadot was hoping for the direction of the General Armorial which was in fact attributed to d'Hozier.
