Description
Silver coffee pot. Nancy 1778-1782. Master goldsmith: Christophe Aubertin, received in 1740. Of baluster form, it rests on three cambered legs ended by deer hooves, the attachments forming a cartouche are engraved with shells and leafy falls on a bitter background. The covered spout is decorated with an asymmetrical shell and ends with a button. The cover is topped by a hazelnut-shaped grip, it receives the thumb rest cut out plain which is extended by an attachment engraved with a fleuron on an amati background. The side handle in turned wood extends the plain sleeve. It is engraved with a coat of arms of alliance surmounted by a crown of marquis, family DE LA FORCADE. Hallmark of the juré garde Antoine-François Platel guard of 1778 to 1782. Height : 25,5 cm 25,5 cm Weight : 771 g.
