Mother-of-pearl and silver piqué toiletry set. Paris 1768-1774 The rectangular box is decorated with a silver and gold piqué decoration representing Love and fidelity. Doves, a dog holding an arrow in its mouth, a lion, a butterfly, a musical trophy, cup-bearing lovers and pine trees can be seen. The whole is inscribed in flowery and leafy cartouches. It is complete with a penholder, a pair of scissors, an ivory tablet, a mercury mirror, two bottles, a spoon and two punches. Discharge mark : Head in profile. Size: 5,5 x 6,9 cm
