Description
A marine carpenter's chisel with a long, narrow steel blade, ending in a chisel at one end and a chisel at the other. Held by a handle-socket fixed in the middle, it was used to make mortise and tenon joints on large pieces of wood. Round stamp partially erased indicating: "Acier Fondu Anglais - (emblem of the lion) - PEUGEOT FRERES - GARANTI". Length : 128 cm. Second half of the 19th century. Expert : Marc Pointud
