A 19TH CENTURY BROOCH OR BODICE ORNAMENT, an oval paste doublet cameo depicting two putti in a funeral profession, within a filigree border and an openwork Greek key frame. Measures 5.5cm by 9.5cm300500180The brooch is in poor condition, the back with various old repairs, one section connecting the right top corner to the central motif is detached, various losses and miss-shapen areas. It fastens with a pin and c-hook. The piece may have been a bodice ornament or other piece of jewellery converted to a brooch.
