Rare "Spitalsky" system test rifle, seven shots, 11 mm centerfire. Round barrel with thunder flats, with planchette frog, numbered to 18. Breech box with seven-chamber rotary magazine, marked "Manufacture d'armes Steyr 1883". Cocking bolt allowing the rotation of the magazine by pulling back. Two-position selector switch on the receiver for single cocking or cocking and rotation (marked "R"). Waxed walnut stock. Iron ramrod. Re-bronzed finish. All parts marked 68. Breech box with number 14 on the right side Length : 127 cm B.E. About 1880. This rotary system is developed by the Austrian Anton SPITALSKY, successor of Josej WERNDL at the head of the Manufacture d'Armes de Steyr in 1879.
