Le Mat" centerfire rifle model 1881, ten shots. 9 rifled shots caliber 10,60 and one smooth shot caliber 15,22. Superimposed round barrels, with sides with the thunder for that of the top, striped, provided with a rise marked "Colonel Le Mat Patent". Hollow barrel. Doubled hammer for the shooting of the hunting cartridge. Barrel, door and trigger guard stamped "55". Iron cleaning and ejector rod. Stock in varnished walnut. Length of the barrel: 59 cm - Overall length: 100 cm B.E. (restored wood). White polished finish. Hallmark of Liege. Alexandre François LEMAT (1824-1881) is a French doctor, Confederate colonel, aide-de-camp of the governor of Louisiana. He registered 12 patents from 1857 to 1871.
