Vetterli rifle model 1871, calibre 10,4 mm Round barrel of 83cm with rise. Case of breech struck of the Swiss cross and "Soc. Ind. Suisse Syst. Vetterlin". Iron fittings. Walnut stock with hallmarks and stamp. Bronze finish. Total length: 130,5 cm B.E. N° 62697. The Vetterli rifles were conceived by Johann-Friedrich Vetterli (1822-1882), technical director of the Swiss Industrial Society SIG, in Neuhausen.
