Barrel and open frame chased with rocaille motifs. Hammer without crest, folding trigger stamped "INVon E. LEFAUCHEUX BREVETE SGDG (PARIS)". Varnished walnut stock plates. Scabbard in chagrin, with two trimmings out of cut iron, with rod integrated into the chape on the right side. Length: 28 cm B.E. About 1870. Joseph Célestin DUMONTHIER was arms manufacturer in Houdan in 1840, then arms manufacturer in Paris from 1850 to 1890. He is specialized in the composite weapons (dagger revolver, etc).
