Strong percussion revolver with system "Le Mat" 2nd model (1862), single action, 10 shots, 9 shots in 11 mm caliber and 1 central shot in 16 mm caliber Upper barrel with sides, rifled, 16 cm, engraved on the upper side "Col Le Mat Bte S.G.D.G. Paris", numbered "6768". Smooth round barrel of 12,6 cm. Hammer with selector. Trigger under trigger guard. Rod on the left side. Plates of stick in drowning squared. White polished finish. Length: 36 cm B.E. Made from 1862 to 1865. Jean Alexandre François LEMAT (1824-1881): French doctor, Confederate colonel, aide-de-camp to the governor of Louisiana. He registered 12 patents from 1857 to 1871.
