Red morocco, gilt plate and trophy of arms in a medallion of garlands, gilt in the centre on the boards, smooth spine decorated, gilt edges (period binding). A very fine copy of this almanac, covered with a binding decorated with a very rare gilt plate presenting a rich decoration of two palmettes in the centre at the top and bottom, from which spring scrolls of hollowed-out foliage stopping at the edge of a multilobed frame in the centre. This frame surrounds a floral garland and a trophy of arms composed of a cuirass, four flags and a bicorn. This copy was part of the very beautiful Catalogue of bindings from the 15th to the 19th century of the Gumuchian bookshop, published in 1929. It appears under the number 282, with a reproduction.
