The last 62 pages are a "Discourse on marriage and conjugal love" dated 21 August 1713 . The author has just celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary and declares himself an expert on the subject: "I have been married for forty years, I even married by inclination, having married a young and beautiful girl of a very honest birth and conduct; I even loved her for a long time before marrying her; I had all the pleasures that I had promised myself; so I must know what the state of marriage and conjugal love consists of.
