In French, manuscript on paperFrance , s.l., dated 17882 vols. small in-4, [6] ff. non ch.-403 pp.; 577 pp. (pp. 560-577 are mispaginated), cursive ink writing. Bound in tan marbled calf, smooth spines with red and green leather title and giblets, spine decorated, triple gilt filleting on the boards, fleurons on the inner corners, double gilt filleting on the edges, marbled paper endpapers and flyleaves, gilt edges (bindings a little faded, corners dull, brittle and cracked jaws) Size: 160 x 203 mm. With three maps (a folding map of France, division of the children of Clovis; map of the Ile Bourbon and the Ile de France (volume II, between pp. 553 and 554) and three folding watercoloured family trees. This two-volume manuscript contains a dialogue between several women or young girls (Henriette, Elisabeth, Louise, Josephine, Agaritte, Emilie...) on facts and points of history, or events on political and cultural facts. It is an interesting example of pedagogy and historical erudition by and for young women.
