SPECTACULAR EGYPTIAN ARCHITECTURAL MODEL. Gilded wood inlaid with bone, mother of pearl and stained wood. This important architectural model represents an elaborate monument reminiscent of Ottoman kiosks such as the Baghdad kiosk of the Topkapi Palace. It is square in shape, with canted sides, topped by a dome. The fronts are decorated with carved, openwork and inlaid bone, mother-of-pearl and wood, each with a door surmounted by a three-lobed archway, flanked by openwork windows with geometric decoration (accidents) Egypt, early 20th century.
