JARDINER. Wood, pewter and a panel of ceramic tiles. A planter with a panel of English tiles based on the Turkish tiles of the 16th century Iznik manufactures. The panel is decorated in cobalt, turquoise and white, with palmettes, composite flowers and mandorles on a cobalt or white background. On the back of the tiles, a mark : "Minton Hollins & Co Patent Tile Works Stoke on Trent". England, 19th century.
