Large vase model "6598", Giovanni Gariboldi (1908-1971) for Richard-Ginori San Cristofero, Milan, 1930s, Modelled earthenware, glazed with yellow, green, black and brown enamel colours. On the front a modelled relief with birds on branches. On the bottom black stamped mark "Richard Ginori - Made in Italy", with green monogram and in black "747". On the stand min. rest and min. chip, From a private collection in the Rhineland. This vase model by the designer Giovanni Gariboldi was presented in 1936 at the Triennale in the Giò Ponti room. The painting in black, yellow, green and brown is very rare, normally this model is only two-coloured and mostly painted with pastel colours. Lit: Società Ceramica Richard-Ginori Milano.
