Small in-folio marbled brown calf, double gilt fillet on covers with gilt crown in centre, smooth spine with gilt title and gilt supra-libris "Friry" on tail, gilt edges (Binding of the period); (6) ff., 341 pages, (9) pages. Spine rebound in the 19th century, marbled paper endpapers of the 19th century, upper spine partly split, small snags, body of the book wet. EDITION printed in Paris by Guillaume Morel for Galliot du Pré in the version established by Denis Sauvage, of these famous historical memoirs written from 1489 to 1498. Beautifully illustrated title with woodcut frame, with the typographical mark of Galliot du Pré. Probably a copy of Charles FRIRY (1802-1881), magistrate, artist, art lover and collector, with a handwritten bookplate "C. Tchemerzine, II, 466 - Brunet, II, 191 En français dans le texte, 38.
