Marc Mouclier (1865-1948) - The Corinth Omnibus. 1895. 56x36cm. Original poster, zinc-printed, not canvas-backed. Condition A- marginal tears. Like La Critique, this magazine was a literary curiosity, since it was founded by Mouclier, not a publisher or author, but a painter and engraver. A regular of press cartoons, he became a publisher for his magazine, whose address was his home address. He also innovated by calligraphing the texts for his magazine, and printing it using a relatively new technology for the time, zincography. Mouclier was a friend of Vuillard's, and influenced his artistic expression.
