Small folio, mustard morocco, first cover decorated with rectangular pieces arranged in a staircase on the steps of which is inscribed the title of the work in mosaic letters of pink and green morocco, the rectangular steps are decorated with alternating geometric patterns of the same green and pink morocco on a gold background, smooth spine, lining of prairie green morocco set with a pink morocco scroll and gilt fillets, green moiré silk endpapers, double endpapers, gilt edges, cover and spine, green half morocco folder with covers, slipcase (Bernard - 1931). Monod, II-7210 /// (3f.)-VII-50-(2f.). Translation by Le Maistre de Sacy with a preface by Abbé Jean-Pierre Altermann. 29 illustrations in the text by Maurice Denis, wood-engraved by Jacques Beltrand, of which 27 in colour and 2 in one tone. Limited edition of 200 copies on Arches vellum (n°94). A very good copy despite some faint discharges of illustrations. Spine of the folder faded.
