DUMAS fils (Alexandre Dumas dit) (1824-1895) - 3 documents L.A.S. to "General [Galliffet]" (s.l.n.d.). 2 pp. in-8°. Engraved header with his address on blue paper. "You make me (...) the greatest pleasure by providing me the occasion to be pleasant to you. This box is undoubtedly for the beautiful person with whom I sometimes see you at the show. It would be nice to see Apollo leaving his brother Mars and his sister Venus at the door of his house (...)"; L.A.S. to " Mons cher Lorentz" (s.l.n.d. 7 April 1858). 1 p. in-8°. He announces "Don't count on me for anything to do with industry or export or any kind of trade. I have absolutely no understanding of it and have sworn never to meddle in it. I have been very unwell and while I was in bed, I began reading the very immoral young man (...)"; L.A.S. to a lady, (s.l.n.d.). 2 pp. in-8°. Engraved header to her address. "I do not see any inconvenience in your having the letters of Made Sand, of my father and even of myself, unless the letters were of too great an interest.
