Giuseppe Vasi (1710-1782)

Plates from the suite "Delle magnificenze antiche e moderna in Roma", published in issues between 1756 and 1761. Etchings. Subjects: approximately, according to the plates, 20 x 30 cm + margins. Good proofs on vellum, sometimes with the "fabriano" watermark, from a 19th century edition. Incomplete set of 105 plates bound in a muted cover (partly disjointed), including some additional plates of the "Vedute" and 8 plates executed in collaboration with Giovanni Battista Piranesi who was, as is well known, Vasi's pupil. Conservation: soiling, foxing and staining on the first two plates, as well as on the last one of the collection. Light staining not reaching the subject in the lower right corner of the last twenty plates. There are also some worm holes on some proofs. Lot of 105 plates.
