Oil/thin painting cardboard, on cardboard doubl. The small-format scene shows a cheerful, carefree summer walk of two women and a small child at the foot of a rocky gorge. The conception of the scenery - the steep rock faces, the darkened light situation and the bright sky -, the painting style of the sky, as well as the subject clearly show the painting style of Carl Spitzweg (1808-1885) in his small-format mountain landscapes with hikers.
