Oil/canvas. Portrait of a young woman in side view with antique-looking robe. Her hair, crowned by a tiara, falls softly over her shoulder. Her finely painted white dress and the light incarnate parts contrast with the black hair and the background in a dark colour palette, which shows trees and plants. This results in an exciting composition of the picture. The fine surface design and the play of light and shadow give the painting a beautiful liveliness. Signed lower left.
